Printree

The generously conceived installation that creates the object called PRINTREE points to an attempt to come as close to nature as possible, to bring an ordinary part of the landscape, of the forest, into a new space, into new contexts and scales. To change its material composition and, through that change, to underline its aesthetic qualities. In its singular proportions this sculpture presents the artist's idea of a printed tree, which from the outside looks like a real, organic element. Only when it is cut open is the lie revealed, the deception hiding beneath the surface.
