Budweiser Orb

The concept of my work is to place objects in the streets of České Budějovice that disrupt the flow of the urban environment while at the same time allowing a new perspective on it. I decided to use glass spheres, or orbs, combined with an iridescent glass surface that gives the shapes a somewhat unnatural or alien look. In shape and surface these objects form a counterpoint to the surrounding architecture, which at the same time will be reflected in them and merge with them.

I also see this project from a photographer's point of view and would like to involve the public in a photographic response to the work. Part of presenting it will be an invitation to the public to capture the objects in different contexts, from different angles and at different times of day. These photographs will be shared under the Instagram hashtag #budějovickýorb.
