Bělá

The sculptural installation Bělá is an interpretation of the course of the local river — the stretch between the Radětín and Kulík ponds. The Bělá runs through the town on an almost north–south axis. We laid out the local granite boulders along that axis as a metaphor for the landscape around Pelhřimov, and onto it I transferred the real line of the river bed as recorded on the map. I left the shapes of the local stone untouched and set their rough natural form against artificial glass beads that may call to mind drops of water.
