Šimon Prokop

Šimon Prokop studied architecture at the Czech Technical University in Prague (2017) with a focus on generative design and parametric modelling. His master’s thesis explored the intersections of architecture and music in the context of sketching and musical improvisation.

He works on innovating the teaching of generative design at the Faculty of Architecture of the Czech Technical University and at Archip, and occasionally leads workshops at other universities such as the Faculty of Arts and Architecture in Liberec or the Faculty of Architecture of Brno University of Technology. His doctoral research examines generative ambient music as a means of reducing noise in interiors.

He co-founded the consultancy Geometry Busters, which helps architectural studios and industrial companies such as LEGO, Škoda Auto and Preciosa with complex geometric and optimisation problems. He is a founding member of the non-profit research group PET-MAT, which explores the use of recycled plastic in architecture. Šimon is also one of the founders of ArchiDAO, the first decentralised autonomous organisation for architects running on blockchain smart contracts, where he focuses on developing architectural digital twins and their use in the metaverse.
