Sympozium Pasečná – kolektiv autorů

This is not an individual but the Pasečná Sculpture Symposium — a collective project of the Art in the City festival. The symposium was first held in 2022 in the Šumava landscape near Pasečná (at the Dobík guesthouse); the organisers were prompted to hold it by the festival’s fifteenth anniversary and by the year’s theme, FAUNA AND FLORA. Six sculptors and artists met there — Jakub Flejšar, Jakub Chocholoušek, Ladislav Plíhal, Michal Č. Šembera, Michal Trpák and Vojtěch Trocha — and during the symposium they created six original sculptural objects in wood, metal and concrete. The works also serve a practical purpose as benches and resting places on walking routes and remain permanently in the landscape around Pasečná.
