Scoolpt

Scoolpt is a Czech sculpture and architecture studio specialising in 3D printing from concrete and ceramics. It was founded by the sculptor Michal Trpák (founder and curator of the Art in the City festival). The studio makes street furniture, concrete planters, benches, sculptures and artworks; it also works in architecture and printed houses. 3D concrete printing lets them realise complex, organic shapes with minimal waste, which the studio presents as a contribution to sustainability in construction. Among others, it works with the Czech Technical University.

Its best-known project is “Prvok” (2020) — the first organic house in the Czech Republic built using 3D concrete printing.

The team (as they present it): Michal Trpák (sculptor, founder and visionary), Petr Tuček (chartered architect, Czech Chamber of Architects 3922), David Síla (ceramic designer and artist, 3D modelling and preparation for robotic printing), Jana Moravcová (project manager), Jiří Vele (architect, engineer and teacher at the Czech Technical University, founder of the Veletiskárna 3D printer brand, develops print heads), Lenka Trpáková (landscape architect), Láďa Trpák (startup specialist).

At Art in the City 2023 the studio showed the work “Beetles” (Hluboká u Borovan).
