Nikola Mojsl

MgA. Nikola Mojsl is a Czech sculptor and artistic blacksmith who makes indoor and outdoor sculptures in metal. Education: 2008–2012 the Secondary School of Applied Arts and Higher Vocational School in Turnov (artistic blacksmithing and locksmithing); 2013–2019 the Faculty of Fine Arts of Brno University of Technology, Sculpture Studio 1 (headed by Michal Gabriel); November 2015 a scholarship stay at the School of Visual Arts in New York. He continues a family tradition — his father Jaroslav Mojsl runs an artistic blacksmith’s workshop in Turnov.

The material of his sculptures is metal, above all steel. The motifs are mostly animals (a big cat, a bull, a heron, a crane, a shark, a leopard, a phoenix) and guardian figures, made for gardens, interiors and offices.
