Miroslav Vodák

Miroslav Vodák (b. 1979) is a graduate of the Faculty of Architecture of the Czech Technical University in Prague. He gained experience at the A8000 studio (Střítecký / Krupauer) and at CGA Architects in New York. As a member of the CBArchitektura platform he has long promoted good public architecture and public space and organised architectural competitions. Among other things he took part in the competition for the Centre of Architecture and Art in České Budějovice (2020) and in the project for the city’s candidacy for European Capital of Culture 2028 (he later ended his cooperation with the city because the leadership changed the terms), as well as in competitions for high-speed rail terminals and for the Vltava Philharmonic Hall.

Awards: finalist for Architect of the Year 2018; finalist for the Architect for the Municipality award (2021, 2022); an award for an exceptional achievement in the Czech Architecture Award 2023.
