Lucia Cyprianová

Ing. arch. Lucia Cyprianová (today also given as Lucia Chotěborová) is an architect working at the Faculty of Architecture of the Czech Technical University in Prague, at the Institute of Model Design (15116); contact cypriluc@cvut.cz. She graduated from the Faculty of Architecture, where she is also on record as the author of studio projects (for instance L-CITY, a mega-complex of high-rise buildings with residential and cultural functions, co-authored with Anna Seimlová, Studio Florian). Her research deals with the computer simulation of the movement and behaviour of people in space — she examines various principles and algorithms, of which agent-based models are proving the most promising; the aim of her project (2023) is to develop a tool for simulating the movement of agents and to verify whether human behaviour in space can be simulated with sufficient accuracy.

She is a member of the team at the non-profit organisation PETMAT (research into recycled PET in architecture and design, Faculty of Architecture CTU). At Art in the City 2019 in České Budějovice she presented the object “Let’s go for a beer!”, made using 3D printing (PETMAT, Hyperion Robotics) and placed on Pražská třída.
