Gabriela Procházka

Gabriela Procházka (*1990, Prague) is a Czech new media and light artist working between Prague and Stockholm. Her work brings together art, technology and social themes. Through light installations and multimedia projects she reflects on questions of digital culture, ecology and the impact of modern technology on society today. Her work moves between art, technological experiment and activism.

She holds a master’s degree in Digital Media from the Faculty of Art and Design of Jan Evangelista Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem. She completed placements at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris and the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem, and is currently continuing her postgraduate studies at Konstfack University of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm.

She has shown her work at the Šopa, Chemistry Gallery and Hraničář galleries and has performed at the National Gallery Prague and at the Berlin venues Berghain, OHM and Funkhaus. She takes part regularly in leading new media art festivals, among them Signal Festival, Lunchmeat Festival, MIRA Festival, Rewire Festival and The New Now Festival in Essen.
